Kali mirch kathal / Dry kathal sabji

 I love kathal in any form, kathal ki sabji one of my favorite sabji ... Dry kathal, kathal do pyaza, kathal gravy, kathal biryani , dahi wale kathal. My mom made kathal sabji very yummm ahe use only dry and whole spices with dry red chilli, fresh ginger garlic and sprinkle coriander leaves. Today I am going to share with you guyz Dry kathal kali mirch. 

In this recipe here I use whole spices with 3-4 dry red chilli, fresh chopped ginger and 8-10 garlic . Chopped onions and handful of chopped coriander leaves. 👩‍🍳❤

Ingredients:

250 gm chopped jackfruit fresh 

Mustard oil 2tbsp

Bay leaf 1 

Cumin seeds -1tsp

Dry red chilli 3-4 

Salt as per taste 

Turmeric powder 1tsp

Water 2cup

Ginger 1inch 

Garlic 7-8

Chopped coriander leaves

Cinnamon 1/2 inch

Black cardamom 2 

Green cardamom 4

Black pepper whole 10-12

Star anise 1 

Kasuri methi roasted n crushed 

Onion 1 chopped 

Tomato 1 chopped 

Homemade garam masala 1 tsp

Kashmiri red chilli powder 1tsp (optional) 


Procedure : 

In a pressure cooker boil the kathal pieces with water salt and Turmeric powder for 1 whistle. 

Drain the water. 

Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, dry red chilli bay leaf saute sometimes. 

Now add chopped onions and whole dry spices with ginger garlic and cover and cook for 3-4 min on low flame. 

Add pinch of turmeric powder and salt cook properly now add boiled kathal with chopped tomatoes cook for 10 mins. Switch off the flame. 

In last sprinkle coriander leaves and garam masala. Cover atleast for 5 mins. 

After 5 min add roasted crushed kasuri methi. This process is totally optional. 

Now serve with karari roti.
