Veg Biryani / Vegetable Biryani

Veg biryani recipe with pot, pressure cooker & Instant pot options.You really have to cook biryani with patience, care and attention. There should be no hurry and cooking a biryani takes up some time. Yet it is worth it. It is one of the most royal and grand rice based dish from the Indian cuisine. One of my favorite lunch Or dinner option veg biryani with raita, sometimes I tried veg biryani with brown rice it's also taste gud n healthy option for everyone. Today I am going to share with you guys easiest method of one pot vegetable Biryani 👩‍🍳Traditionally the biryani recipes are prepared in big aluminum pot by layering the rice and biryani gravy, veggies once it is layered, it then sealed tightly so that the aroma does not escape and is cooked in a low flame. Today I am going to share with you guyz my  cheat version to mix the rice and gravy and cook it in a pressure cooker.❤🍃

INGREDIENTS : 

  • 2 bay leaf / tej patta
  • 2 inch cinnamon stick / dalchini
  • 1 star anise
  • 5 cloves / lavang
  • 4 cardamom / elachi
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds / jeera
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tsp ginger - garlic paste
  • 5 beans,
  • 10 florets gobi / cauliflower
  • ¼ cup peas / mattar
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 potato
  • ½ tsp turmeric / haldi
  • 1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder / lal mirch powder
  • ¼ tsp cumin powder / jeera powder
  • tsp homemade biryani masala
  • salt to taste
  • tbsp coriander leaves
  • 10 mint / pudina leaves
  • 4tbsp onionsfried
  •  cups basmati rice / any type of rice soaked 15 mins
  • 2 cups water

INSTRUCTIONS :

  • firstly, in a large cooker heat ghee and saute spices.
  • further, saute onions and ginger - garlic paste well.
  • additionally, add in mixed vegetables and saute till all vegetables shrinks.
  • also add in spice powder and salt to taste. mix well.
  • also add in coriander leaves, mint leaves and fried onions.
  • spread soaked basmati rice.
  • further sprinkle biryani masala powder and salt.
  • also place in coriander leaves, mint and fried onions.
  • additionally, pour ghee.
  • pour water and simmer for 25 minutes.
  • finally, serve veg biryani prepared in cooker along with raita.

📝 •fry the


onions slices on medium flame, and •chopped them fine and in one size all. 
•Use ghee for enhance the flavour. 
•In my recipe here I use homemade biryani masala.
